On September 19th, Arom-dekor Kemi inaugurated its new factory with festivities, attended by over 60 guests from Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Lithuania. Among the speakers was Lars Rosell, Vice CEO of the Vilokan Group, who highlighted the factory as an important addition to the Vilokan group (of which Arom-dekor Kemi is a part), whose entire business model is based on sustainability. During the ceremony, guests were treated to a tour of the factory, speeches, ribbon-cutting, food, and drinks.
The new facility in Kongsvinger marks an important step in Arom-dekor’s development and enables us to efficiently meet the increasing demand for AdBlue in Norway. The strategic location reduces the need for long transports from Sweden, contributing to lower carbon emissions and aligning with our commitment to reducing environmental impact.
Jim Lingman, CEO of Arom-dekor Kemi AS, emphasizes the company’s ambition that all AdBlue sold in Norway will be locally produced in Kongsvinger starting from autumn 2024, with the goal of being fully operational by the end of September. “This step strengthens our position as a leading player in the AdBlue sector in the Nordics, with existing production in Sweden and Finland, and as the second-largest supplier in the Norwegian market,” says Jim Lingman.
In addition to increased production capacity, this investment also involves the creation of new jobs in Kongsvinger, promoting local economic growth and strengthening the region’s industrial sector. The facility is located in the expansive industrial area Siva, further underscoring our commitment to both the local community and the environment.
Since the establishment of our sales organization in Norway in 2017, with offices in Førde and Oslo, we have constantly strived to be close to our customers and the market. With headquarters in Borås, Sweden, and a turnover of SEK 660 million in 2023, we continue to build on our successful history and look forward to the new opportunities that our expansion in Kongsvinger will bring,” concludes Jim.
