We at Vilokan, together with Ragn-Sells<\/a>, are extremely proud that our Joint Venture Solvent\u00a0Recycling Solutions (SRS) has been awarded Circular Initiative of the Year at the 2025 Recycling Gala. The award is a strong recognition of our commitment to driving the green transition and creating true circularity within Swedish industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly inaugurated SRS facility in H\u00f6gbytorp, outside Stockholm, is a real-world example of how advanced technology can transform solvents previously classified as waste into high-quality raw materials. The result is up to 87% lower climate impact compared with fossil alternatives \u2013 a clear step toward the circular industry that Sweden (and the world) needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis award shows that the right technology and years of experience are crucial for achieving real circularity. Through our partnership with Ragn-Sells, we are creating solutions that help industry reduce emissions and meet their environmental targets,\u201d <\/em>says Lars Rosell, Deputy CEO of the Vilokan Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SRS facility is a collaboration between environmental technology company Vilokan Group and environmental company Ragn-Sells, with the capacity to process up to 20,000 tonnes of waste-classified solvents per year, such as acetone, ethanol, methanol and glycol. Through advanced technology, we create a circular flow where waste-classified streams become new raw materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis recognition shows the potential of real recycling, but to scale up faster, we need long-term and predictable policies that make it more profitable to avoid emissions,\u201d<\/em> says Anders Kihl, Head of Strategy and Research at Ragn-Sells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Recycling Gala is an annual event highlighting innovations in sustainability and the circular economy. The SRS project\u2019s win is proof of the power of collaboration and the dedication required to make real change. Together, we are taking the next step toward a society where resources are used again and again.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
